Upcoming Switch Games – March 2026

Collector’s Cove

  • Price: $19.99 USD
  • Developer/Publisher: VoodooDuck
  • Release Date: March 12, 2026

Collector’s Cove has all the things I’m weak against: an adorable creature you can dress up, farming, decorating, and the ocean. Be at ease as you sail across the sea, as this cozy game lacks enemies who would disturb your peace. Fill out your Collector’s Compendium with different crops and fish, and use the materials you find to craft! I don’t know about you, but I’m “on board” with these ideas. 🛳️

Bubblegum Galaxy

  • Price: $19.99
  • Developer: Smarto Club
  • Publisher: Astrolabe Games
  • Release Date: March 12, 2026

From the developer behind Teacup, Bubblegum Galaxy is another cozy game in which players must rebuild the galaxy after a server crash caused its deletion. 😱 As a planetary architect intern, design planets through tile-based gameplay. You can try to earn a perfect score for your designs, or take a more laidback approach. And during your breaks at the office, get to know your new coworkers in “hundreds of unique story events.”

Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime

  • Price: $16.99
  • Developer: Bonte Avond
  • Publisher: offbrand games
  • Release Date: March 16, 2026

Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is the latest game from Bonte Avond, who developed Once Upon A Jester. It’s a silly-looking game with a focus on the titular tactical frog-battling game called Frogtime; buy and sell frogs to build your team. I say “hats off” to the developer since we can put hats on the frogs!

The story is said to be fully voice-acted with many heartwarming moments. This sounds like a ribbiting riveting experience to me! 🐸

Letters to Arralla

  • Price: $16.99
  • Developer/Publisher: Little Pink Clouds
  • Release Date: March 18, 2026

Letters to Arralla is another game that looks like good, silly fun. Play as a “mail delivery turnip” who works for the Arralla Isle Delivery “Deliberry” Service. Apparently their mail system differs from most real ones in many ways. For one thing, you must figure out where to deliver letters by solving the pictograms on each envelope instead of a simple address.

You also get to snoop by opening people’s mail to find out what problems they’re dealing with, and then help them find solutions. Learn more about the fictional isle’s history, and explore the Australia-inspired environment.

Moonlight in Garland

  • Price: $14.99
  • Developer/Publisher: Violet LeBeaux
  • Release Date: March 23, 2026

Moonlight in Garland is an “open-ended” life sim set in the city. Select 1 of 4 apartment buildings to move into; each one is said to have a different storyline, fun community events, and layouts. If you find that that building isn’t working for you, you can upgrade your current space or just move to a different building.

You’ve gotta work some to live of course, but after taking some part-time jobs you’ll have the funds for your new home, in addition to more lovely decor! There are 22 residents to befriend (18/22 are romanceable), and you can make yourself at home in the community by participating in festivals and other activities. This looks super cute and cozy!

Otome Daoshi -Fighting for Love-

  • Price: $49.99 (digital & physical; digital currently on sale for $44.99 until March 26th)
  • Developer: Idea Factory
  • Publisher: Aksys Games
  • Release Date: March 26, 2026

Japanese name pronunciation guide: “Oh-toe-may Dough-she

With a title that seems to roughly translate to “Tao (Dao) Maiden,” this otome tells the story of Shunlin, a young Daoist priestess in training who lives in a kingdom obsessed with martial arts. One day they hold a tournament to find the strongest fighter in the country, but a mysterious group appears and attacks the spectators.

It’s probably not the best idea for them to have attacked a place where a bunch of strong fighters have gathered. And sure enough, Shunlin and her rivals work together to protect their country.

Grimoire Groves

  • Price: $25.99
  • Developer/Publisher: Stardust
  • Release Date: March 26, 2026

“Work some magic” on Grimoire Groves, the new home of a witch’s coven that definitely expected it to be in better condition. Add new spells to your grimoire, forage for ingredients, and grow new plant creatures to revitalize the groves. Bring balance to the force groves by finding the missing forest spirits and building them new and improved homes. Decorate your cottage to boost the magic of the forest’s residents, and be on the lookout for the mythical Rainbow Socks as you explore.

Volontés

  • Price: $47.99 – RATED M
  • Developer/Publisher: LocaGames
  • Release Date: March 26, 2026

I remember seeing posts about Volontés in the otome games subreddit, and have been eagerly awaiting its release on Switch. The title apparently means something like “willpower” in English. In this “Dark Fantasy x Suspense” otome, experience the story of Fiena, a young woman who loses everything when her village is attacked.

Fiena’s rescuer takes her to a magical city floating on the sea. She’s told that she is the Moon Witch, who is said to be the key to prosperity in an age of darkness. The land is plagued by illness, violence, and betrayal; can Fiena fulfill her role and bring peace to everyone?

Homura: The Crimson Warriors

  • Price: $39.99 (digital); $49.99 (physical)
  • Developer/Publisher: Idea Factory
  • Release Date: March 31, 2026

The events of Homura: The Crimson Warriors take place 14 years after the Battle of Sekigahara (which I believe I recall from Hakuoki, although the 2 games don’t appear to be connected). The Tokugawa shogunate controls the country, and has turned its attention to eliminating their opposition, the Toyotomi clan.

The Toyotomi clan and their supporters – including samurai and ninja such as our heroine – gather at Osaka Castle to defy the shogunate and anyone else who stands in their way. I’m excited to see what sounds like a strong heroine in this “final chapter of the Warring States period.”
