Like many others, you probably have been frustrated by an inability to get your hands on Shiny Zacian and Shiny Zamazenta codes. I went to two or three GameStops only to discover that they were completely out. One manager told me that there had been a line out the door that day just for the codes. 😑 I was upset that I couldn’t get any for myself or my family members, especially due to immunocompromised members of the family not wanting to go out. Eventually, I found a legitimate way to get the codes.

I was quite aggravated with the situation, and a glance at eBay confirms that people find these worth scalping for…*checks listings* $3? Ugh. Anyway, I found out from a Reddit post that in the UK, they were offering these codes digitally via GAME, which seems to be a large game chain in the UK?

The fine print indicates that this promotion lasts through Thursday, November 18th. So one week from now. I received my codes just fine. Please do not be greedy and request more than one set. (Unless you have kids who don’t have e-mails and can’t do this on their own.) I very much appreciated the ability to acquire these digitally, minimizing potential exposure to illness in these times. (It’s also harder to run out of the digital codes…) Enjoy your shinies! ✨

Possible Method for Shiny Celebi & Dada Zarude

Now, recently there was also an opportunity to obtain Shiny Celebi and Dada Zarude if you were subscribed to the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter by September 25, 2021. I had been subscribed to the newsletter for a long time beforehand, and consistently checked my inbox and spam after they started to be sent out. Nothing. I contacted them at supportteam@pokemon.com and although it took several exchanges with them, I managed to successfully obtain my codes. Please don’t bother if you were not subscribed to the newsletter by the September 25th deadline. I’m fairly certain they can see if you were subscribed or not? Please be polite and pleasant with the customer service reps as well. The rep I spoke with indicated that they normally do not supply codes if not sent through the email distribution (I’m uncertain as to why I didn’t get it automatically despite my being subscribed already). However, they mentioned that for this particular distribution, they had a limited number of “extras” for the Shiny Celebi and Dada Zarude. If you were subscribed by the deadline, and did not receive the codes in your inbox/spam folder, it may be worth a shot to send them a message. You never know if you don’t try! Good luck!
