Intergalactic point and click game Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress lands on the Nintendo Switch eShop (and Steam) tomorrow! Notably said to lack actual pointing or clicking, it takes inspiration from the “golden era” of the point and click genre – but they simplify the controls for the modern player’s convenience. Additional inspiration comes from ’80s and ’90s Anime.

The game’s Steam page tags it as “Story Rich” with a female protagonist; you play as Major Daaia, the best pilot in the Federation. While completing routine defense operations, humanity’s mortal enemy sends her a transmission, which prompts her to investigate the origins of the war with the “Rolars.” Explore alien planets, solve mysteries and play mini games starting tomorrow.
