Wolfstride

We mentioned Wolfstride in our article on Brazilian Switch games a few months ago, and we’re excited to see that it’s coming out in a few days! The game is an RPG in which a trio inherits a mecha that came out of a junkyard. They plan to enter a mecha tournament that involves turn-based combat, and you’ll need to thoroughly prepare for each battle. Change the parts in your mecha, upgrade it, and add new weapons to improve your chances of winning the tournament. I really like the look of this one and can’t wait to play it!

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is an action RPG that seems to be a prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. After a nearby town is damaged by an earthquake, the game’s heroes decide to offer their assistance. I’m excited to check out the town-upgrading functions here, and apparently there will be perks for linking Rising and Hundred Heroes.

Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 2: Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound / ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman

I’m so happy to see NIS America publishing these classics on Nintendo Switch. They previously published Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1: Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered / Soul Nomad & the World Eaters. Now, they’re publishing Volume 2, which contains Makai Kingdom as well as ZHP. In Makai Kingdom, you’ll play as Lord Zetta, who plans to regain control of the Netherworld through tactical combat. ZHP also uses tactics-based combat – it’s a “roguelite” game with randomly generated dungeons, and there’s a deep customization system for your character. Check out Volume 1 and Volume 2, and wait for the just-announced PRINNY PRESENTS NIS CLASSICS VOLUME 3: LA PUCELLE: RAGNAROK / RHAPSODY: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE, releasing in late August 2022.

Attentat 1942

Charles Games worked with Czech and American historians to ensure the accuracy of the narratives in this game; you’ll play as a young person who discovers that their grandfather had been arrested by the Gestapo in the Czech Lands. You will interview eyewitnesses, experience their memories, and more. The game uses a variety of mediums to tell these stories – interactive comics, digitized films, mini games, an in-game encyclopedia, and interviews will all help you discover the horrors of the past.
