Rune Factory 5 Guide: Townspeople & Tips

Rune Factory 5 is coming out very soon on the 22nd. It’s one of my most anticipated games of 2022, and I already have the Digital Deluxe version downloaded for when its finally playable. Japanese players have had access to RF5 since May 2021, and as a result, Japanese sites have information on things like characters’ favorite gifts. That information doesn’t seem to be available in English yet, and so we decided to take the time to gather the information from a Japanese site called “Game8” and make it available in one convenient place – in English.

General Tips

  • Equipping the “Beginner SEED Mark” allows you to take baths at the Ryokan for free
  • Bring your Cooking or Crafting Tables to the Ryokan and make items there; doing so allows you to quickly restore your RP in order to continue cooking or crafting
    • You can apparently cook or craft together with the townspeople, which will double the number of items made
  • There’s a weekly discount for 10% off every Friday
  • Oddly enough, if you expand the bakery once, Yuki will start selling costumes there as well 🤔
  • The clinic offers vaccinations to temporarily help prevent status effects, among other things
  • You can fast travel from the map
  • Furniture can be purchased at Palmo’s Workshop. You can send it directly to your room or the “Farm Dragon Furniture Yard”
    • If you leave furniture in the storage area, you won’t be able to purchase new furniture
  • Missing dates or meetings will result in the other party becoming angry with you, which means you can’t have normal conversations with them. You’ll have to talk to them every day and wait for the option to apologize.
