If you grew up in the nineties like me, you may have played some of the games from Humongous Entertainment. I loved playing Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish on my now-obsolete Mac desktop as a kid.

Humongous Entertainment brought Putt-Putt Travels Through Time and Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell to Switch last month, which I didn’t know I needed until I saw them. I was excited but also just a little disappointed that Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo wasn’t ported as well. Apparently wishes do occasionally come true, because it’s one of the games coming soon to Nintendo Switch! The following games will be released tomorrow (February 10th). I’m sure “humongously” excited! 😉

Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo

I still remember the simplistic yet cute theme song of Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo over two decades later. I have many fond memories of playing that game. As the name implies, you must help to save the Cartown Zoo. Apparently all the baby animals have gone missing, and you have to find them before the zoo can have its grand opening! 😱 Make friends with the animals, play with them, and learn about them. In between the action, sing songs and paint Putt-Putt some fun colors! (I remember loving it when I got to change Putt-Putt’s paint job!)

Pajama Sam: No Need To Hide When It’s Dark Outside

The first game in the Pajama Sam series, Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It’s Dark Outside has you play as Sam, a boy who uses his red cape to imagine himself as superhero Pajama Sam! In this entry in the series, Sam must face his fear of the dark, going inside the frightening “land of darkness” (aka his closet) to learn that the dark isn’t so scary after all. Apparently appliances, furniture, and even trees will come to life in the game, talking and dancing and singing! (Will we hear their rendition of Be Our Guest, by chance? 😂)

Pajama Sam 2: Thunder And Lightning Aren’t So Frightening

Pajama Sam 2: Thunder And Lightning Aren’t So Frightening has Pajama Sam attempt to conquer his fears once again. This time, he needs to overcome his fears of thunder and lightning. Unfortunately, when Sam goes up to the “World Wide Weather” factory in the sky to see where storms are made, he ends up accidentally causing weather disturbances worldwide! ⛈ Fix the broken weather machines before Mother Nature finds out, or there will be trouble!

Spy Fox in “Dry Cereal”

I’m afraid I don’t seem to recall this series, but now I’ll have the chance to check it out! As secret agent SPY Fox, you’ll have to rescue cows stolen in order to deplete the world’s milk supply! Use your SPY gadgets to solve puzzles and investigate this “udderly” deplorable crime! While I might be a heathen that prefers to eat cereal dry, I’ll still help SPY Fox save the day for my cereal+milk loving brethren! (Not all heroes wear capes. Pajama Sam might, but still. 😂)

I’m so happy that Humongous Entertainment and UFO Interactive have brought these games to Switch. People like me who played these games as children can now relive those fun moments, and kids today can now enjoy them as well. The games are cute as well as “edu-taining” – that is, educational and entertaining. I hope everyone supports the series and checks these games out! Which games do you think you’ll get?
