We especially love shiny Pokémon in my household – I spent a lot of time in Pokémon: Let’s Go chaining for shinies. I was particularly happy to stumble upon a shiny Psyduck in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Right now, we have the chance to sign up for online competitions in order to earn ourselves a shiny Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres over the next few months.

As of February 3rd – and through February 18th, you can register for the competition taking place between the 18th and 21st. Simply participating in three battles should get you the shiny Galarian Articuno! ❄️
Then, between February 24th and March 11th, register for the competition held from March 11th to March 14th in order to earn a shiny Galarian Zapdos! ⚡️
Finally, register for the April 15-18th competition between March 31st and April 15th to earn a shiny Galarian Moltres! 🔥
(Please note that the times and dates will be a little off due to the time differences between your country and Japan as listed above.)
So how do you register? See the screenshots below!

Hit X and go into the VS part of the menu. Make sure you are connected to the Internet (and I believe you will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription for this).

Next, go into the Battle Stadium section.

Choose Online Competitions.

Search for Official Competitions.

Choose the 2022 International Challenge February Master’s Division. (The name will change based on the months the competitions are held in.)

In the upcoming competition, the rules indicate that it will be a double battle with 4 Pokémon allowed. All Pokémon will have their levels set to 50. Special Pokémon will be permitted, but you won’t be able to use more than one of the same Pokémon or item.

An important thing to note is that you can only have one user on each Switch compete in the competitions using each game. It sounds like you can enter with Sword then Shield one time each, but not more than once per game…?

I went through all of the entry condition screens, and I am officially entered! I can’t wait to see what the Galarian Bird Trio looks like in Shiny form!
