Additional Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Update Coming Soon

XSEED Games has been very hard at work updating Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town well after its launch on March 23rd of this year. I preordered the game and had it on launch day, but made the choice to wait until additional updates (plus the complete expansion) were released. I started and finished the game in August, and enjoyed certain aspects of the farming parts of the game, but felt the socialization didn’t quite measure up to previous entries in the series.

The DLC marriage candidates were mentioned in feedback from fans regarding a lack of real integration with the main town. The new update coming out on November 29th intends to fix this by adding the ability to attend the couples-focused festivals with the DLC candidates. They are also adding post-marriage scenes to the game. I was somewhat burned out by the time my character walked down the aisle with Iori, so perhaps I’ll have to dive back in at some point.

XSEED also listed Spirit Quests as a feature added with this update, which are “challenging requests” where you act as a medium between the Sprites and the townspeople. By completing these quests, you’ll be able to purchase new outfits, obtain new farming abilities, and discover a mysterious access point connecting different areas of your farm.

Thanks, Damon!

I’m currently playing Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and The Wild At Heart (review coming soon!), but the update sounds interesting enough for me to start playing Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town once again. The game is currently on sale for $29.99 USD at several retailers, so if you like the look of the game, be sure to check it out! I really appreciate the amount of work being put into this game so many months after release; not many companies will do that. 1,000,000 copies of the game have been sold worldwide, which is well deserved! 🎉 🐮
